Scientific Nature and Inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The US Center for Chinese Medicine and the Chinese Association for Science and Technology have jointly organized a lecture on “Science and Inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine” on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 2:00-4: 00 pm. If you are an acupuncturist, OM or a student of TCM, you are welcome to attend the event. The lecture is free of charge; however, there will be refreshments for purchase at the event. 

The speaker is Professor Jinghuan Guan.   He is a chief physician, doctoral supervisor, and teacher of national old TCM. His specialist is in the treatment of chronic proteinuria and hematuria with Chinese Medicine, and the use of acupuncture to reduce urine protein. He has composed a series of effective uremia treatments form studying Chinese and Western medicine. Since 1984, he has been engaged in the study of Chinese Medicine theory and elements and has obtained a series of scientific research achievements. He has published more than 70 papers in national, provincial and municipal academic journals and 21 provincial research projects under the leadership and participation of the country and 14 awards. 

 

Professor Guan will discuss the following topics: the scientific nature of Traditional Chinese Medicine, how to improve clinical efficacy, the concept of harmony between man & nature in medicine, and the treatment of common diseases. The lecture will be Chinese, please let us know ahead of time if you need an interpreter.
