The Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences was launched by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in July, 2014. It is supported by the Ministry of Education and co-published by Tsinghua University Press. It is an open access journal that is published online by Elsevier.

The Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences is devoted to bringing scientific rigor to Chinese medicine research and promoting evidence-based advances in Chinese medicine to the world, especially to the non-Chinese speaking countries.

The Journal contains original research papers and clinical studies on traditional Chinese medicine theories, herbs, formula and acupuncture with modern scientific research methodologies. Both theoretical and clinical research will be included in this journal. In addition, the journal also publishes reviews, policy news and case reports of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
