Seminar-Acupuncture for Seasonal Allergies

On March 4, 2018, the US Center for Chinese Medicine by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (USCCM-BUCM) successfully held a seminar on Seasonal Allergy Treatment. The lecture was given by Dr.Rongsheng Lin, a renowned acupuncturist and seasonal allergy expert working in New York. Dr. Lin has attracted more than sixty acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine amateurs that from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Northern Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The lecture was certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Seasonal allergies have been a significant problem for many people in Spring, causing symptoms such as nasal obstruction, watery eyes, sneezing, itching, and so on. Based on a thorough understanding of traditional acupuncture theory and more than 1300 successful clinical cases, Dr.Lin shared his acupuncture strategy including special acupoints, meridian acupoints, and safety attention. Dr. Huamin Henry Li, a western medicine expert in allergy treatment, introduced the diagnosis and treatment guidelines for allergy by video teleconference, directly from this year’s Allergy and Asthma Immunology Annual Conference.

The lecture was widely praised by the acupuncturists in attendance for sharing useful and practical clinical strategies. The Center (USCCM-BUCM) will continue providing additional seminars in the future around common diseases and symptoms, such as pain, infertility and nervous system disorders. The Center will also carry out clinical research related to these topics.
